How to convert JSON string to a Java object

In this tutorial we will show you how to convert JSON string to a Java object using GSON.

Setup:

You will need to include the following maven dependancy to your project.

You will also need a Java class to represent your JSON string for this example we are using a LibraryUser class

How to convert JSON to Java object:

Below is an example showing how to convert a JSON string to your Java object, in this case our LibraryUser class.

Output:

Running the above code produces the following output, it is the result of the toString() method on the LibraryUser object.
